Here are a few comments about the Stanford Waltz Week by 2003's participants

An exhilarating experience.  Powerful, romantic, electrifying, enormously entertaining and full of new moves that kept us all agog all day.

Best investment in a vacation ever!  Really nice pace and good class schedule.  This was better than a $5000/day health spa!  And so much more fun!  I feel the best I have felt in over 14 years.

Absolute bliss!  I wish every week were a Waltz Week.

Great opportunity to enjoy dancing with enthusiasts from all over the country.  Broadened my understanding of leading, borrowing moves from other dances and musicality.

Both the week and weekend were everything I had hoped for and more!  Somehow, without screening participants, you were able to gather a whole room full of good dancers with positive attitudes.

Everything from the website, information packets and class schedule, right down to the availability of music for the dances taught and the terrific shirts made for a complete and thoroughly delightful package.

Would love to have it offered twice a year!

The amount of collective smiles was astounding.  This is rare in our stressful worlds, and very appreciated.

Wonderful!  Learned a lot, but relaxed as well as challenging.  Wonderful people, great dancing, beautiful spirit which spreads from Richard, Joan and the others who organize and teach.

Keep it up!  If the whole world waltzed, there would be no more war!

The Stanford campus is a wonderful place to visit.  And the housing people were very gracious and helpful.
Both the dance and housing programs kept administrivia to a minimum, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in dance.

The Stanford students and recent graduates are always a big part of my enjoyment of Stanford dance weeks -- they are definitely above average in gentility and intelligence.  Such a pleasure.
I really enjoyed the Stanford students.  They were so polite and friendly.  A great addition to the classes.

What an amazing collection of bands!  It was a real treat to have such good live music for every event.  All the bands seemed to have worked with the organizers and included in their repertoires the music that was called for at this workshop.

I found the broad attitude (that dancing is dancing, and nothing that works and feels good is wrong) refreshing.  I will admit to some prior snobbery on my part, however found the mixing of forms interesting and fun.

Successful, romantic and woven together with great gusto and enthusiasm.

You've hit the essence of partner dancing - what makes it wonderful!  The concentration on one form provides and opportunity to dig in and have a chance of remembering what is learned.
