GUIDELINES ON SUBMITTING POSTS TO THE DANCE-NEWS DISTRIBUTION LIST


The Dance-News list is only for  (1) dance events on the Stanford campus, and  (2) dance events sponsored by the Stanford Dance Division or its faculty members.

For non-dance events like theatrical or cultural events, or for non-Stanford events like Bay Area and national dance companies, please use other distribution lists.

Why?  We are already at our limit.  Dance-News announces many Stanford dance events every week and if subscribers receive any more posts it becomes a nuisance (spam) and they unsubscribe.


HOW TO FORMAT A POST TO DANCE-NEWS:

Use simple text only.  No special fonts, margins or HTML coding please.  (This just shows up as lines of code on some computer screens.)

Dance-News posts cannot accommodate attachments.

Include a contact person and e-mail address for further information.


HOW TO SUBMIT A POST:

Write the announcement exactly as you would like it to appear (i.e. please don't ask the List Owner to re-write it for you) and submit it to StanfordDance (at) Stanford (dot) EDU.

Submit it one week before the event you are announcing.
Expect it to be announced two or three days after you submit it.
