GUIDELINES ON SUBMITTING POSTS TO THE DANCE-NEWS DISTRIBUTION LIST
The Dance-News list is only for dance events sponsored by Stanford TAPS, its dance faculty members, and non-profit educational on-campus dance events.
For other events, including theatrical or cultural events, or for non TAPS events like Bay
Area and other dance groups, please use other distribution lists.
Why? We are already at our limit. Dance-News announces many Stanford dance events and if subscribers receive any more posts it becomes a nuisance (spam) and they unsubscribe.
Dance-News allows one post per group, with an occasional exception of major TAPS dance events, so strategize the timing of your post. Groups with ongoing
events create their own internal mailing lists from those who attend their first event.
Note that Dance-News posts cannot accommodate attachments.
Include a contact person and e-mail address for further information.
HOW AND WHEN TO SUBMIT A POST:
Write the announcement exactly as you would like it to appear (i.e. please don't ask the List
Owner to re-write it for you) and email it to dance-news@lists.Stanford.EDU.
Submit it at least a few days before the event you are announcing.
Expect your post to be approved within one day after you submit it, longer if submitted on a weekend.
